Old Castle (Altes Schloss)
Since 1948 the Württemberg State Museum has been located in the castle. The Kunstkammer is founded by the King William I of Württemberg Today the museum is focused on the representation of the country's history from the Stone Age to the Celts, Romans, Alemanni up to the Middle Ages, Baroque and modern times.
New Castle
Duke Carl Eugen von Wuerttemberg (1744 - 1793) of Wuerttemberg built the New Castle - the last large Baroque residence castle facility in Germany. He demanded from the city and the Wuerttemberg´s order of representatives that they build a "proper residence which is convenable to his royal dignity and the amplitude of his royal household" because he wanted to make Stuttgart second to Versailles.
Today the New Castle is the home of the ministries of the Baden-Wuerttemberg state government and representation rooms.
New State Gallery
Connected to the old museum on the gallery level, the New State Gallery designed by James Stirling is dedicated to the art of 20th century. Since the end of World War II the emphasis of the collection of State Gallery is classical modernism, contemporary painting and sculpture.
In the heart of the city: the Art Museum Stuttgart
The spectacular glass cubicle - build by the Berlin architecture office Hascher and Jehle - is inspiring with its sleek elegance. During the day, glass galleries invite you to enjoy a magnificent view of the city and the surrounding slopes. At night the cube floats as a fascinating light sculpture above the Small Schlossplatz. With a museum shop, book shop, bar and restaurant as well as rooms for events, the glass cube is a unique attraction for those who are passionate with arts and for people passing by.
Planetarium
The Stuttgart Planetarium has around 200,000 visitors every year and is among the most attractive planetariums in the world. The programs change every two months. In addition, there are regular lectures, astronomical courses and seminars as well as exhibitions for cosmic painting.
For technical reasons, once the presentation starts it is not possible to allow visitors to enter the auditorium. The duration of presentation is around 45 minutes. Children under the age of six may not take part in the presentations.
Television Tower
The Stuttgarter TV tower is the first of its kind built in 1956. With its imposing height of 217 meters, the television tower - has been the prototype of modern television towers all over the world. Enjoy a 360° view of Stuttgart and the Swabian Alb.
Boat trip with the Neckar Captain
Enjoy the romantic landscape of the Neckar Valley by boat. With its charming little wine villages this region is as interesting and beautiful as its likeable Capital Stuttgart. The Neckar-Captain-Ships operates with a capacity of 150 – 500 persons.
Wilhelma - zoological-botanical garden
From Apes to Zebra: Stuttgart's unique zoological-botanical garden Wilhelma is one of the most beautiful of its kind in Europe. It was built in 1842 -1853 for King Wilhelm I of Wuerttemberg as a Moorish garden. Today, there are around 8,000 animals of almost 1,000 species, important collections of orchids, an aquarium with crocodile hall and famous coral fish collection, bear facilities in Wilhelma. Recreation
Siebenmühlental
One of the features is the trail from Musberg to Waldenbuch / Glashütte. This route was the embankment of the old steam train which run from 1928 to 1956 between Waldenbuch and Leinfelden. It is a paradise for cyclists and inline skaters because of its gentle trails. Numerous dining options are also available.
Jogging & Walking
The Sportzentrum is four kilometres away from the hotel. Here you can start your daily workout and walk through the beautiful landscape. The routes are in different lengths and levels. Signs are marked in the parking lots.
Alternatively, you can start at the Sportpark Goldäcker which is only two kilometres from the hotel.
Climbing Parcour - Waldklettergarten Schmellbachtal!
Rickety suspension bridges, climbing elements and rapid rope slides. Close to Leinfelden (Oberaichen) the climbing parcour Waldklettergarten Schmellbachtal invites you to high flights. You need skills, balance and confidence in facing different levels of challenges. Discover the forest and yourself from a new perspective – leaving you with an energized feeling of satisfaction.
Airport Stuttgart - Panoramic Terrace
The panoramic terrace in terminal 1 offers a unique view of the airstrip. On our 3rd floor you can find pictures of the aiport from the time it was built until present.

Mercedes Benz Museum
Discover the Mercedes myth! More than 120 years of innovative automobile history is displayed in three floors: the first automobiles in the world by Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler, the first Mercedes and many more important milestones.
Porsche Museum
One of the greatest and most spectacular building projects in the history of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG was completed in December 2008. The Museum serves to present the fascinating thrill and diversity of the Porsche brand to visitors from all over the world. More than 80 cars are on display in the 5,600 square metre (60,250 square feet) Exhibition Area.
